Abstract
Articolul prezintă experienţa Bibliotecii Şcolii Gimnaziale „Dimitrie Sturdza” din Tecuci în implicarea elevilor în activităţi de voluntariat şi de educaţie biblioteconomică. Prin proiectul „Voluntar în biblioteca şcolii”, elevii au fost familiarizaţi cu organizarea şi evidenţa colecţiilor, completarea fondului de publicaţii, realizarea bibliografiilor şi expoziţiilor tematice, precum şi cu patrimoniul filatelic şi documentar al bibliotecii. Activităţile au utilizat instrumente digitale precum Kahoot, Eduboom, Livresq şi Wordwall, transformând învăţarea într-un proces interactiv şi atractiv.
Un rol important îl are şi conservarea, prezervarea şi transmiterea colecţiilor bibliotecii către generaţiile viitoare. Totodată, implementarea programului integrat TINREAD MINI contribuie la modernizarea serviciilor bibliotecii prin catalogul online, OPAC, gestionarea colecţiilor, rezervarea publicaţiilor şi realizarea bibliografiilor. Experienţa prezentată evidenţiază faptul că integrarea tehnologiei, voluntariatului şi activităţilor interactive poate contribui la dezvoltarea competenţelor informaţionale ale elevilor şi la promovarea bibliotecii şcolare ca spaţiu modern de învăţare, colaborare şi valorificare a patrimoniului.
This paper presents the experience of the “Dimitrie Sturdza” Secondary School Library in Tecuci in developing students’ information and library skills through the project “Volunteer in the School Library”. The activities aimed to familiarize students with library science, the organization and management of library collections, the registration and circulation of documents, bibliography, Interactive educational applications and online platforms, including Kahoot, Eduboom, Livresq, and Wordwall, were used to make learning more engaging and accessible.
The activities also encouraged teamwork, communication, creativity, responsibility, and active participation among students. Particular attention was given to the preservation and promotion of the library’s historical and documentary collections, including books, maps, brochures, encyclopaedias, stamps, and historical postcards. The implementation of the TINREAD MINI integrated library system further contributed to the modernization of library services by providing an online catalogue, bibliographic management tools, circulation services, publication reservations, and bibliography creation.
The experience demonstrates that the integration of digital technologies, volunteering, interactive learning, and library education can strengthen students’ information literacy and contribute to repositioning the school library as a dynamic space for learning, collaboration, cultural heritage preservation, and community engagement.
